This recipe was amazing! I made it for a carry in at work and everyone is asking for the recipe and commenting on the beautiful presentation! I am glad I read the reviews first and followed the following advice: double the glaze recipe, add the jell-o after the mixture is already boiling, and cut the angel food cake into cubes. I also transferred the glaze into a different container and cooled in the refridgerator. Would suggest less condensed milk and 16oz container of Cool Whip as the custard was slighly thinner than I'd like. LOVED IT! Can't go wrong with Paula!

The cream is something I will make for a multitude of things! So delicious! This was relatively easy and looked so pretty I took pictures! My family loved it!

I think someone should specify the corn starch to use. My gel didn't gel and it tasted pasty. People should definitely double the stawberries. I should have used better quality cake. The custard/cream was yummy but it was similar to other cream fillings I've made before so I knew it would be.

This is the best recipe my family and I just love it!! Easy to make and easier to eat. I did switch up a little by using yellow cake mix instead.

This was quite disappointing to me, especially since Paula is a southerner. The title is a misnomer if I ever saw one... Shortcake is shortcake and angel food cake is angel food cake! They have nothing in common. My mother knew how to make shortcake and never referred to angel food cake as shortcake...

I made this for a dinner party and it was so yummy. I have made the strawberry gel before in my strawberry pies. Good job Paula!

I made this recipe this last week for my dad's birthday, and it was WONDERFUL!!!! I cant wait to make it again. My father is diabetic, so I used sugar free everything including slenda in substitute for the sugar and it was great no one could tell the difference. Thank you for a GREAT recipe.
