To mike,
You should have read the recipe a little bit better.. the 1cup of salt, is apart of the house seasoning that paula dean makes.. you do not use the it on the meat all at once.. you mix it with the rest of the stuff listed then " Sprinkle it on the meat " as a combined product... Please next time read more carefully.. you friend and fellow cook..

There has to be some type of error in this recipe. One cup of salt? Did someone make a typo when they posted the recipe? It's not like I even used the whole cup. I simply put them in the mix to "coat" the chops, and I swear, a dear has been eying thinking I was a salt lick!

We saw this episode when it aired. This recipe is incredible. Since Paula raved about Stripling?s we tried to get the products from there. Ordered sausage but could not get the pork chops online. Sausage was excellent. They are located in Georgia, but you can order from their web site and they will ship anywhere.
Pork Chops were sooooo good. Who would have thought of putting sausage inside pork chops? Easy to follow and my husband loves cooking on the grill.
I love Paula Deen?s southern cooking.

I am not a fan of pork chops; so when my boyfriend wanted them for dinner, I was not "feeling" it. However, he suggested stuff pork chops and I looked for a simple but tasty recipe. After following the ingredients, the first bite was phenomenal. The stuffed pork chops melted in our mouths with goodness and we both were satisfied. Thank you for providing us with a wonderfully simple, tasty meal. FOOD NETWORK and PAULA DEAN ROCK!!

Surely those of you who complained about these chops being too salty, to the point of being inedible, didn't use ALL the house seasoning in this one recipe? That's not the intention. The house seasoning is just that, a seasoning to be used to your liking. The remainder is then put up in the cupboard to have on hand, as Paula other recipes often calls for it.

I had the pork chops for company and all agreed that the salt was a little overwhelming, particularly with the spices in the sausage. Would have rated 5 star otherwise.

My husband loved the pork chops! I haven't heard him rave that much over a meal in a long time! The presentation is wonderful, the flavors are mouth watering, and it's so easy to make...thank you!!!
