So I just finished cooking these and they're great. It's so funny how everyone says they have picky husbands. They should eat what we make them or just not eat! LOL Am I right ladies??!! Ha ha... Well he loved them as much as I did. I used Tostito's salsa con queso for the cheese, uncle bens 90 sec butter garlic rice and added a little cilantro since it had kind of a mexican vibe. I also baked it at 400 for almost an hour I think. That way the peppers didn't come out so firm like everyone was saying. I will definately make this over and over again!! Love you Paula!!!

These were quite good but not as flavorful as I expected. My husband, however disagrees & he thought they were wonderful!!! I'll certainly make them again but maybe cook the onions with a little salt pork or add a bunch more black pepper. I admit I subbed real cheese & salsa for the goo in the jar so maybe I lost a little flavor there but I'll make up for that some way next time! I parboiled the peppers for a few minutes beforehand and the texture was perfect.

Served them with cornbread, which was a nice side.

    Definitely worth making

These stuffed peppers were really fun to make. And, I really wanted them to taste good. I, personally, thought they were "just okay". But, my unusually picky husband thought they were very good. Now, he rarely say anything "taste really good", he usually is the type that would say "they're okay". Mmmm....I guess this is a good dish, whether if is REALLY GOOD or OKAY it'll depend on individual taste buds. I say to give it a try...you just NEVER KNOW until you make them your self! Happy Eating!

This is a fantastic recipe. We make it whenever the red peppers are on sale or I through caution to the wind. The last time I made the recipe I used Jasmine rice which is too sticky. Basimati is best for this application. I plan on making cabbage rolls soon and will try this as filling.

I made these and the whole family ate them! I agree with others who said it would be better to boil the peppers a bit before baking.
Also, I wasn't paying attention and I made a cup of uncooked rice rather than cooked.
    Still came out OK!
    A keeper!

My husband & I made this together. We messed it up a couple of times, just didn't read it throughly. But, it didn't matter because it still turned out good. Next time, I think I'll also boil the peppers a bit before filling them.

This recipe was pretty good, my kids even ate it! I did boil the peppers for a few minutes prior to stuffing. I used pork sausage instead of plain pork, and doubled the recipe for the stuffing portion. The leftovers will be great in burritos! I wasn't sure what "jarred salsa and cheese" was, but it didn't sound good! I used 1 cup of grated mozerella and 1 cup of grated cheddar instead. I might use some diced chiles or red pepper flakes next time to give it some heat. I didn't pay enough attention to the recipe and put all the beef bouillon in the stuffing, instead of using half of it for the water! Consequently my pepper tuned out slightly salty. Great topped with sour cream!

This recipe is fantastic. I used only ground beef and shredded cheese and added a little bit of salsa (only because this is what I had. The stuffed peppers were so good and even better after sitting in the frig for 2 days and eaten as left overs. Thanks again Paula .. great recipe!

I was a little reluctant about the soy sauce, but the recipe turned out delicious. I used ground turkey and served them on a bed of rice. The whole family loved these.
