My husband only commented that he would like less sour cream added but everyone else loved them! I added some vodca sauce to the tops of them at the end and they really loved them.

This recipe Rocks! I do cut the peppers in half, like the recipe says; but sorta blanch the peppers first like some of the others said for 5 minutes or until tender with a fork. The only reason for this, is this, is how I made them and EVERYONE likes them this way! My next door people and us, absoulutely love them a little more tender! We are talking, people "who, don't like stuffed peppers!" Love you, Paula!

I usually eat low carb, so the only adjustment I made was I put a couple tablespoons of rice in the bottom of my husband's peppers and then added the meat over it. I left the rice out of mine. We both will certainly eat this again and my husband is not a 'fan' of stuffed peppers.

The family loved them! I did change it a bit adding hot italian sausage to replace the ground pork. Instead of using the canned tomatoes I used salsa and i also added some red pepper flakes someone had mentioned they cooked it at 400 for 60minutes for a more tender pepper, I did also and they were perfect! As my daughter wouldn't be caught dead eating a pepper I wrapped some in floured torttias( spelling bad sorry anyway she thought they were awesome!
served cornbread with them which i thought was a good choice. Will cook this again for sure! Thanks Paula.

I made this recipe almost immediately after finding it on the website. My husband LOVED it and our 2 year old son ate nearly an entire pepper half so it must have been delicious in his opinion too! The only thing I changed is I didn't add the green onion tops because quite simply I forgot to buy any at the grocery store. I also used Tostitos Medium Con Queso cheese and it gave the recipe just a little heat. Delicious recipe over all and I may even try stuffing green peppers with this meat mixture sometime since green bells are so much cheaper.

out of the park grand slam. I had read some of the other reviews, some were good some were bad, so I was a little nervous at first but they turned out fantastic. I only made one substitute, orzo instead of rice and I used tostios con queso medium cheese sauce. My husband and a friend of the family both admitted it was better than their mother's stuffed peppers, so when a man says it's better than mama's, you know it's good

I changed the recipe to make it lower fat and lower salt. Used 1 1/4 lbs ground turkey (93%lean instead of chuck/pork mix. Used 1 packet no salt beef bouillon. Instead of cooked rice, I had cooked quinoa on hand and used that instead. Replaced jarred cheese and salsa and sour cream with 1 cup part skim Ricotta. I use a lower salt soy sauce and mix it with equal parts water before measuring 1 Tbs. Finally, I added 1 8 oz can of no salt added Tomato Sauce when I took off the foil and baked it for the suggested 15 minutes.
Tastes great and it's heart healthier!

I think the combination of the pork, cheese, and sour cream was just way to over the top for my wife and I. The flavor was good, but left outr stomach a little queezy from the richness.
