What could I substitute for the Brandy?
I do not carry any in my house and am not about to buy some just
for 1 tablespoon. May I substitute pure Vanilla extract ?
Also, I want to make it for a gathering of my Bible Study Group from Church.
I do not think the Alcohol would be proper..

I have made this 3 times in the past month. Always a hit. I love it and I didn't think I really even like Brie until I made this recipe! Wonderful!

This will be the first thing to go at your party. It's fantastic and makes a pretty presentation. I'm made it for my parties and also is easy to bring to someone's house and pop in the oven.

Universally appealing. Great with apples that aren't too sweet...Fuji's work because of crispy texture. Don't like them with pears due to being overly sweet & grainy...if using pears use D'anjou pears that aren't pretty firm.
    Great individualized appetizer too.

Made this very simple recipe for a lunch gathering, and it was a BIG hit. There wasn't a bite left. Would absolutely make again!

So good! Very rich but delicious. The brie was super creamy, the pecans were toasty and the brandy was a great addition. I will definitely make this again!

I used Vanilla instead of Brandy and it turned out wonderful. The sweetend pecans added a nice flavor to the Brie and the consistency was perfect. I'll definitely be making this one again,

The presentation is the greatest, I made it for a wine dinner. There was none left.

I made this on Christmas Day for my family and they loved it. Even my mother who is a gourmet cook, could not stop raving about it. It is super simple to make and as others have noted, you can definitely bring to a party aassemble and bake on site. Make this for your next party.
