I decided to serve this at my daughter's first birthday party. I used pecans because I had them in my pantry. I did the brown sugar/brandy/nuts the day before and the chopping of the fruit in the morning. I put the brie in the oven right at the time the party was supposed to start and it was finished about 10 min later. Very easy and quick with all the real prep work (which isn't hard either done ahead of time. The party guests loved it, even those who hadn't tasted brie before.

My aunt made this for Christmas Eve. I usually dont like salty/sweet combinations but this was incredible and she said it was very easy to do. I can't wait to make this myself.

Paula Deen is awesome. Her recipes remind me of my late great grandma who made everything from scatch. It always smelled so good in grandma's kitchen.

This could quite possibly be the easiest appetizer I've ever made! and wow was it was good! I actually didn't have brandy, so I subsituted cognac and used pecans instead of macadamia nuts. I took it to a ladies group Christmas party and got rave reviews!
