I reduced syrup and used 1 tsp allspice and 1 tsp cinnamon instead of all cinnamon. Gives it more flavor. I used half almonds, too. Better.

This was a mess. The syrup mixture created a sticky mess and the nuts were impossible to get off of the foil. When I managed to get them off, they just clumped together in a bowl. The outcome looked NOTHING like the picture!

Wow, are these delicious and they came out RIGHT! Last years attempt ended up in the garbage! I was a bit skeptic trying the recipe again, so I only made half! But success, yeah... My mistake last year was I used a heavy saute pan instead of a saucepan, can you say dummy!!!! I am sometimes dyslexic in the words I see, LOL! Will keep this recipe for next year! Very easy and sumptuous!

I gave 5 stars cause the pecans are good!!! I use 3lbs half pecans half almond but its too much corn syrup,I will use less next time because it make them 2 sticky and u can't break them apart..and instead of pouring them on a cookie sheet..Scooping them would be better....

Not sure what I did wrong, but my pecans came out more like cinnamon pralines. I used a candy thermometer and it seemed to take forever to come up to 242 degrees. I followed the recipe exactly. Some areas of the "pralines" were still shiny, smooth and somewhat sticky, and other were harder and more chrystallized. I broke and tore them into peices. Even though not consistant at all, they still taste very good, but just might be a bit sticky to eat.

This made tasty pecans, but the recipe makes way too much syrup! I had received 4 bags of pecans for Christmas and according to the recipe I should only have had to use one bag (roughly two pounds and I had to use three! Scale down the recipe if you do this! I still have excess syrup...
