All the reviews are on point, I'm not much of a pro in the kitchen and these turned out to be the best ribs I've ever tasted. Followed the advice of using1/2 the salt amount in the rub. Ribs were indeed falling off the bone. Almost hard to manipulate in the grill, definitely repeating this with chicken soon. As commented before, don't let the smell of the sauce fool you...it is a perfect complement to the rub!

I made the recipe without any modifications and it was awesome! I was nervous though, I didn't really like the taste of the sauce by itself and debated replacing it with a bottle of store bought sauce. I'm glad I didn't replace the sauce. The dry rub was so packed full of flavor that the sauce recipe matched it perfectly. Great recipe!

We have made this recipe at least 2 dozen times and it is delicious. I do cut back on the amount of salt by half. It is a crowd pleasing, outstanding recipe. Another great recipe from Paula Deen. Thanks Y'all!!

These ribs were delicious. I had never attempted to make ribs before, but I was craving them. The combination of cooking them in the oven and on the grill made them perfectly tender. The rub and the sauce complimented each other very well. I have had a very similar sauce before, and I think it's wonderful! I made it for a small group of friends, and the ribs lasted 10 minutes. They were a hit! I highly recommend making this one.

I can only rate the rub, since I oddly prefer the taste of jarred BBQ sauce to most homemade sauces and haven't tried this sauce yet; however, this rub is truly outstanding. I have used it many times on baby back and spare ribs, and it turns out perfectly every time. Yes, you will most likely end up with more rub than you actually need, but just be careful not to contaminate the rub and then you can save the extra for the next time, and believe me, chances are there WILL be a next time! I let my ribs sit overnight usually, although in a pinch I've done as little as an hour, and the flavor is still unbelievable. I also braise my ribs in a beer/water mix during the "low and slow" part of the recipe. For two racks I use three cans of beer--usually Coors light, but you could use whatever you have on hand--and three cans of water. You'll need a roaster rather than a baking sheet to hold that much liquid, but it's worth it for the tenderness and flavor.

This recipe is so easy to do and makes the best, moist and tender ribs ever. I use baby back ribs and they are always falling off the bone tender. I must admit I don't always make the homemade sauce - depends on my time schedule. The rub does make a lot - but it stores very well in the freezer. This is the bomb when it come to rib recipes!!

This is an absolutely fantastic recipe for babyback ribs!!! I cooked my ribs 15 to 30 minutes longer in the oven because I like them to be falling off the bone tender. I have made this with store bought barbecue sauce when short on time and it was still delicious because of that fabulous rub. Paula you are a pro, thanks!!!

I tryed this recipe and I must tell you my entire house smelled so good and refreshing. I cooked some stemed vegatables. I baked some homemade mac and cheese and homemade biscuits. My family was very grateful for the meal...

mmmm smell delicious and tastes great i love the bbq sauce recipe i love the sweet and tangy taste. but i had to make some substitutions instead of garlic powder and onion powder i used onion and garlic flakes instead plus i love to see texture my sauce so it gives it that old fashion kinda look and tastes the same
