I LOVED THESE! I DIDN'T MEASURE THE SUGAR AND CHILI POWDER, JUST MIXED THEM TOGETHER UNTIL IT WAS HOT ENOUGH FOR ME! I PARTIALLY COOK THE BACON BEFORE I WRAP IT AROUND THE CHICKEN. THIS WAY I KNOW THE BACON WILL CRISP UP BEFORE THE CHICKEN IS DRIED OUT. THEN I MIXED A LITTLE BIT OF THAT BACON GREASE AND THE PAN DRIPPINGS INTO THE LEFT OVER SUGAR/CHILI MIX AND HEATED IT UP FOR A DIP! IT WAS A GREAT HIT AT MY CHRISTMAS PARTY. PAULA, YOU ROCK!

I made these for a very large group. I found them bland, even though I had read former reviews and added cayenne pepper as someone suggested. Wish I had added some salt, too.

Cleanup was also a big mess with all that bacon fat caked all over the broiler sheet.

Not a snack I was proud of.

I rated this recipe 4 stars because I used extra-spicy chili powder, and it overpowered the brown sugar sweetness.
Next time I will use regular chili powder to give the flavor more balance.

I used chicken tenders instead of breast and cayenne instead of chili powder. I doubled the cayenne. They had a bite and were gone as soon as I put them out.

Made these twice for two different parties and they were a huge hit both times. The second time I made them, I used a thinner cut of bacon and when I had about 5 minutes of cooking time left, I cranked up the heat to about 500 to crisp up the bacon.
