Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnut spread
  • 8 slices, white bread, cut 1/2-inch thick
  • 2 bananas, sliced lengthwise
  • 16 marshmallows, cut in halves
  • Butter, softened
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Directions

Preheat the grill to medium-low.

Heat hazelnut spread, so that it lightly coats the back of a spoon. Spread all slices of bread with a thin layer of hazelnut spread. Apply banana slices to 4 pieces of bread and marshmallows to the remaining 4 pieces. Take 1 slice of bread with banana, and 1 with marshmallows and press them together, making a sandwich. Repeat. Apply a light layer of butter to each side of the sandwiches.

Place each sandwich on the pre-heated grill for 2 minutes per side. Once cooked, cut each sandwich in half on the diagonal. Put sandwiches on a platter and dust with powdered sugar.

The cure for the sweet tooth

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is one of the best deserts I have ever had in my life. I made this for my wife and son, the next morning we were cured... of all cravings for sweets for a month. Simply the richest best tasting desert, but be careful it is addictive. Read more

Made slight variations...and it was still OUT OF THIS WORLD!

I just made this on regular loaf bread, and with peanut butter instead of the hazelnut spread. I also put it on my George... Foreman grill...so that helped me avoid the problem of turning the sandwich over. It was done pretty quick and my husband and children devoured it! They all 3 shared one sandwich. Half a recipe is definitely more in line with what most people would probably eat. My husband said even he wouldn't be able to eat a whole one by himself...very rich! He agreed that the hazelnut spread would probably step it up a notch...and maybe even adding nuts. I will be making this the next time we have company over. THIS WAS SO EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Read more

My husband and I LOVED these. I put some chopped nuts in there too for some added crunch. Delish - thanks Paula!
