I also added a 1/2 tsp vinegar to try to obtain a little 'lift' in the biscuits. They didn't 'lift' much more than the height I rolled them to, but they were still very good. I also added a little cinnamon and the result tasted very much like Fall. I think this recipe would be great with a ranch style breakfast. I will probably leave this recipe for special occasions and return to the old standby baking powder biscuit recipe for all other times,

Tender, Delicate and Addictive! Made these for the family Christmas get together and I will make them again! I used unbleached all purpose flour. I BAKED my potatoes and let them cool. I added the 1/2 tsp. white vinegar to the potatoes. Other than the vinegar I did pretty much what the recipe said. I folded the dough over only a couple of times-I didn't handle it a lot. Floured my board well because dough is moist. Great recipe.

Loved this dish!! My whole family loved it! We also added a dash of mixed essence [vanilla extract] an dash of cinnamon. Nice, fluffy, and great side dish or dessert.

I thought that this biscuit tasted very good. It didn't have much of a distinct sweet potato flavor, though. Just a biscuit.

Absolutely Delicious!!
The biscuits turned out really well.Just rolled them into a ball and flattened with my palm, 1/2" thick. They aren't too sweet which is perfect if you want to serve with Thanksgiving dinner... and soooo easy to make. I did add 1/2 tsp of vinegar to the mashed sweet potato, some nutmeg, cinnamon and a tsp. of vanilla. Will definitely make again

I added a few favorite flavors like cinnamin & nutmeg & I didn't use a biscuit cutter. Instead I shaped them by rolling pieces of dough into a ball and then slightly flattening them. They came out delicious.

This is hands down the quickest and easiest biscuit recipe I have ever used. I had no all-purpose flour on and substituted bread flour. The texture was wonderful and the flavor superb; I was not at all surprised because Paula's recipes generally have a low risk for failure even when you have to use substitutions - I very much love that about her cooking. These will go on my Thanksgiving table for sure!

I just made these and my family LOVED them. They were so moist and tasted grate with melted butter. Next time I make them, I'll try the vinegar but I'll never go back to regular biscuits again. SO GOOD!
