I cook well but am not so great in the baking department, so I'm not sure what went wrong but my biscuits didn't rise much at all. However, they still tasted great and I'll definitely attempt this one again!

I made these for the first time. I am on Weight Watchers so I substituted the milk with fat free half and half, the butter with Brummel and the sugar with the new Splenda product (half sugar, half Splenda. I did, however, put a little real butter on them before I baked them. I cut them bigger and they made 6 large biscuits with a point count of 3 points each. Not too bad! I can have them on the weekend when I have my extra points and I don't have to feel guilty. I used sugarless peach preserves with them instead of honey butter. Life is good! Thanks, Paula Deen!

I made these for Easter dinner & although they had great flavor, they did not rise much and were more like hockey pucks....

    Probably won't make these again.

Everyone in my family, young and older enjoyed the biscuits. My daughter thought the sweet potatoes looked blah. After she helped me make them, she loved them. I even stamped them out in heart shape for February to make it fun.

I added another teaspoon of sugar, but followed the rest of the recipe just as written. These biscuits are absolutely delicious. I guess my biscuit cutter is a little bigger, because it only made 8. I would highly recommend this recipe.

used 2 tsp of baking powder , brn sugar instead of white and put alittle more than suggested, and used only 1/4 of a stick of butter and 1tsp of canola oil....i added pnch of cinnamon too.........came out very good....couldnt imagine 4 tsp of baking powder considering mine rose quite a bit!

I had made some Turkey soup for my husband and me. He requested biscuits, found this recipe and made it with the left over sweet potatoes. The interesting item was some carrots had gotten in to the potatoes. Then he suggested adding some bacon and about 3 leaves of crushed dried mint. We love tweaking recipes when we get them and these turnded out absolutly yummy!! Thank you Paula Deen

I spent 15 minutes on these buiscuts and hours on the rest of Christmas dinner and they were the talk of the meal. I'm no baker so I was a little worried about offering tough, dense buiscuts to my family but this was hardly the case. Iused a Pampered Chef stone (evenly baked on top and bottom and found that cutting just 12 buiscuts prevented them from being flat. Soft, moist, and really beautiful buiscuts served with cinnamon honey butter (Alton Brown.

I JUST made these, for Christmas dinner and they were quite delicious and sweet. The only downside is that they burned on the bottom, not sure why. After the first batch, I raised the oven rack up one level to prevent burning the bottoms of the second batch; this helped a little. I also made the honey butter Paula made on this episode. So goood!
