This is a quick, easy and delicious recipe. My whole family enjoyed it. I put over noodles for my kids, and my husband and I ate it over rice. It has quickly become a family favorite !!!!

This looked great on tv; but was even greater, after trying it at home. My whole family loved it, and my boyfriend could still it the next day leaving him wanting more.

I followed the recipe exactly - I even used steak seasoning for the meat to make sure it had flavor. (Salt and pepper is never enough to flavor meat, I don't care what anyone says. Not only did this dish NOT have any flavor but the meat was tougher than shoeleather! I didn't have the nice gravy either, my sauce looked and tasted like tomato water. I will give this recipe one more chance. Next time, I'll use filet mignon cut in cubes and I'll pound the meat just to be sure it's tender. I'll also use beef stock instead of water. If it still turns out bad then I'm done with this one.

This recipe could be a lot better with a better and tastier cut if meat. The sauce is very good.

I was drawn to this recipe because my mother use to make something like it. Also, it looked easy and quick to make. But in reading the reviews and being warned about its "blandness", I decided to jazz it up with mushrooms and wine. I added a small container of sliced mushrooms with the onions and pepper and replaced 1/2 cup of water with some good dry red wine I had leftover in the fridge. I simmer it for 40 minutes on the stove in a heavy dutch oven. I served it with brown rice (cooked in beef broth and steamed broccoli. It was EXCELLENT! Next time I think I will use red peppers -- green peppers can be a bit over-powering sometimes.

It was super easy to make. I made it in the slow cooker and instead of water I used beef stock. It came out really good.

I thought it was rather bland, but being in the slowcooker I figured I just needed to add additional spices. I used the diced tomatoes/garlic can and I think next time I will add beef broth instead of water. After browing the meat, I removed it and added some wine to the pan and deglazed it and then added it to the slowcooker. The meat was very tender though.

This was the best steak I have ever made. I would give it more than 5 stars if possible.
