I saw this recipe on TV this weekend, printed it and made it tonight. It was delicious. I just re-watched the episode because I wanted to see how she packaged it as a gift and noticed that the measurements she gives on TV is different than the measurements on-line. On TV, she says to add 1/3 cup of minced onion. On-line it says 3 tablespoons. On TV, she says to add 1 tablespoon of chili powder. On-line it says to add 1 teaspoon. Like I said, I made it tonight following the on-line recipe and really liked it, so I don't know if I should stick with that or go with the TV version. I don't know which one is better. I'm planning on giving these as gifts, so it's important for me to know which measurements are best. I don't think I'll be making this again before the holidays to find out for myself.

When we watch Paula's show, we always look at her eyes while she is tasting the food she had just prepared. Usually is Paula crosses her eyes while tasting we know that the recipe will be wonderful. But in this case, we must not have watched her eyes close enough...I would never prepare this one again. So disapointed.....WE tried..

I LOVE this Chili, I made it the shortcut way and used canned beans. It was really good and tasted like it had been simmering all day long. This is now my new chili recipe!!!

I have a son who HATES chili with beans so I was a little iffy about trying it, I couldn't believe he actually LOVES this chili. The first time I followed the recipe exactly ( I feel you should do so if you plan on rating a recipe. This time when I made it I added a pound of good chorizo along with the meat. It really added a nice smoky flavor.
You really must try this recipe and do yourself a favor, if you can find chorizo add it!

The perfect chili recipe! Instead of ground beef, I used a shredded rotissary chicken. I think it gave a nice twist on a heavy meal. I really think it lightend it up. This recipe has tons of flavor! To those who thought that it was too soupy . . . add the tortilla chips in with the soup and let it sit for a half and hour. The chips really thicken it up a lot!! Soo yummy! Thanks Paula!!

Really liked this recipe. I read reviews and didn't add all the water and it came out perfect - after I did my own tweaking, of course (garlic, bell pepper, beef broth instead of water, jalapeno, green chilis, black pepper

I also don't like a lot of beans in my chili, only a little and used one can of rinsed pinto beans. Also used coarse ground chili meat instead of regular hamburger. Oddly enough, I didn't like it with the chips, sour cream and green onions. Don't know why, but loved it with just crackers or a slug of hot buttered cornbread - yum!

If you decide to use the broth instead of water it gives it awesome flavor, but get low sodium so it won't be too salty.
All in all this was a great recipe, Paula girl.
