This is the best chili ever. Everyone loves it. It seems that a lot of people are confused by the recipe. The first listing of ingredients is for the taco chili mix. The second set of ingredients is for making the chili using the taco chili mix "packet" that you prepared in the first part of the recipe. Serving Suggestion: Make up a toppings bar with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, green onions, jalapenos, etc. so that everyone can personalize their own bowl.

This was a really tasty chili. I also found that it was a little "soupier" than a traditional chili. Next time, I may add a little tomato paste and a little less water. I also found the way the recipe appears online was a little confusing at first. Once you figure out that it's a mix to make ahead of time, then the "real" recipe is clear. Absolutely will make it again.

First cold snap here in Houston --- this pot of goodness made for the perfect meal. Next time, I'll add a bit more heat but recipe is perfect as is. Thanks Paula!

I must say that the 2 times that I have made the chili for my boyfriend he loved it. I absolutely love the chili with the sour cream. I love this recipe and will continue to use is in the future.

I tried this recipe for the first time about 4 months ago, my family and I absolutely love it. No more of the same old boring chili.

The first time I ever made chili it didn't taste very good, but I saw Paula make this and couldn't stop myself...so I made it the other day and WOW-everyone loved it. We even had guests over and I was proud to serve it. It came together really quickly and then I let it simmer a few hours and this pregnant lady was have seconds!! I made a quick corn bread and it was great. I will keep this one for my family. Way to Go Paula!! I

Hi Paula, my wife made your recipe for the church chili cook-of and she took first place. I made the mistake of holding back half because I loved it and boy howdy did I catch down the road. She ran out and everyone still wanted more I guess next time we will have to make a few extra pot fulls.
Thank you, and best dish from our kitchen to your's.

I haven't made the recipe yet. In reading the directions it says add seasoning packet but up above it lists a taco seasoning mix and a buttermilk salad mix. I see something white on top in the picture with what looks like green onion but recipe ingredients don't clarify. I would love to make this but the instructions aren't clear and everyone else who has made this seems to create their own version.

Very easy to make. I used canned beans instead of dry, so it cut down a little on preparation time. It really had a great taco taste.

Yesterday was a nasty day here in the NW, it was pouring and windy...perfect for a chili recipe. I decided to make this in the crock pot and it came out delicious! I browned ground turkey breast and threw it and everything else (I used canned beans, btw into the crock pot. I let it sit on high for 1 hour and then let it sit on low for 2 hours. It was excellent, I am so glad there are just 2 of us because we have great leftovers tonight!
