Made this last night to rave reviews. Stuck to the recipe exactly as Paula wrote it and have already passed it along to co-workers. Will definitely serve again.

I have made this salad for my family twice in two weeks upon request. It is a fun salad to eat not to mention great tasting! Highly reccommend for a summer salad. I substituted ground beef for ground turkey the second time around.

I added avocados to the salad and taco seasoning to the meat. The next time I make it I will either double the meat or add some sort of beans just it make it more of a real meal.

We are really watching the calories, carbs and fat we consume. So, I made this using the following: baked Doritos, 2% low fat cheese, fat free Catalina dressing, reduced fat sour cream and diet lean (91% lean ground beef, used the whole packed of reduced sodium taco meat seasoning; served with chopped avocado, tomatoes, sliced black olives, salsa, etc. This was a HIT! We absolutely loved this. It was easy too!

This recipe is ALWAYS a hit when I make it! (I do add Taco Seasoning to the browned Ground Beef as a variation. So easy to throw together for a "last minute invite."

I also added chili powder and crushed red pepper to the meat. I didnt use the whole amount of dressing as it looked like it may be a bit much. My oldest son loved it and he is very picky. But he loves Catalina dressing and was surprised to see that was an ingredient. Will make again for sure!!

THIS RECIPE HAS MADE THE PARTY CIRCUIT! IT IS ALWAYS A CROWD PLEASER. IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE INGREDIENTS, WE ADD CHOPPED GREEN PEPPER AND SLICED BLACK OLIVES. IT IS GREAT AT THE PARTY AND AT 2 IN THE MORNING COLD FROM THE FRIDGE! ENJOY.
