I have made a recipe very similar to this for years. I like many others on here add a pack or two of taco seasoning to the meat. I also add avocados and sourcream to mine. It is so delicious and the kids love it!! My 4 year old loves anything that has to do with Mrs. Paula!

This taco salad was wonderful and very easy to make. I was a bit skeptical about the dressing, but boy was I wrong. My whole family liked it, from my 18 month old to my 15 year old. A big hit at my house and something we will have often. Thank you Paula!

this is a great recipe i added taco seasoning to the ground beef for a more taco flavor, that is the only variation this recipe is a keeper, Paula is the best!

I saw Paula make this recipe today; proceeded to the grocery for the items (I already had the ground beef, and made it for dinner. My kids loved it. I took some of the hints posted and added taco seasoning to the gr. beef. I also added a little cilantro at the end (a little goes a long way. I also diced up some avacado and topped each salad with sour cream. I added so many other touches that the salsa was not missed. I also had some spanish rice as a side. What a great Friday night family meal with a movie.

Great taco salad, but I like my taco salad meatier so next time I will use 2 lbs of ground beef. Another great Paul hit with no butter! Ha!

My Aunt Barb used to make this wonderful taco salad for summer picnics and I used to love it so I was thrilled when I saw Paula make it the other day. We used to use a salad dressing called "Western" in the midwest but Catalina worked really well in this recipe...the sweetness is intended and that's what sets it apart from a hot taco salad. I did use some taco season to season the ground beef and I added a chopped avocado and some leftover chopped cilantro, but this basic recipe still produces a very easy and tasty dish.
