This is the best soup the only bad thing is there are never any leftovers!
Used Turkey meat in place of gr. beef. Did not need to brown first as there is no grease in turkey.

I love this recipe, and for people who are complaining about too much sodium, not healthy, well bless your hearts, don't you know this is a Paula Deen recipe!

This is a great alternative from other chili and soups. I did make a couple revisions. I didn't like the idea of using the liquid from the beans and not rinsing them. So I drained and rinsed the beans. Since this causes you to lose liquid, I added water to the soup. To get some flavor back I added 1 1/2 chiptole peppers and some of the adobe sauce from the can.
I will be making this again, but I'll be looking for more ways to cut back on the sodium.

I made this for dinner tonight. I didn't change much except I used italian stewed tomatoes and fire roasted tomatoes. It was exceptional. Everyone loved it. I will make this again for sure.

I added cabbage to the soup and extra beef broth as there used to be a restaurant here in WA called The Cabbage Patch that served a soup similar to this but with cabbage. Thanks for helping me recreate that soup and remember some great times too!

This is the most delicious soup I have ever made! It is so easy and flavorful. We enjoy this soup all fall and winter long. It is still good several days too! Great to make when you have company over too!

This is so easy to make and so tasty. Well for me it's wasn't spicy enough, so I get the pinto beans that have jalapeno in them and I add two packs of taco seasoning and two of the ranch dressing mix instead of just one each. Maybe we just like spicy food, but it was pretty bland to us without increasing the seasoning. It's great with or without the chips, sour cream and cheese. It's just so so easy and everyone loves it. :
