This was one of the easiest recipes I've ever made. The soup was very delicious, lots of flavor, but a little too spicy for my taste. I will definitely be making this again but next time I will leave out the 2 cans of green chiles.

This soup is outstanding!!!! my hubby just loved it. I did make a slight change to it, on the Ranch dressing packet, I used the Fiesta Ranch. I also added a small can of tomato sauce for a little xtra juice.

The very best tasting chili/taco soup I've ever eaten. It makes a vat-full which freezes well - I freeze in individual sized servings for a quick fix meal. Have made, and shared, many vats and it has been loved by all. Opening cans and packets is just way too easy, although, cooking your own beans is fine - cans are for quick and easy assembly.
Sometimes Paula's dishes look delish on tv but are just too ____ (fill in the blank as it applies to dish when I try making them. This taco soup recipe is delicious without any modifications.

Great recipe. Everyone finished theirs! It took a while to hunt for all the ingredients at the supermarket. I managed to find everything except for Mexican Stewed tomatoes, so I used regular Stewed tomatoes.
After getting the ingredients, this is a real simple recipe. Just drop in can after can after can after can and you got yourself a nice taco soup.
My sister who is visiting said she liked this Tex Mex dish better than what we get at Chevys, the Mexican restaurant we eat at all the time. The leftovers make for a great little nacho dip.

Incredible amount of soduim. To lower soduim I- rinsed canned beans and corn for 1 minute under running water, used half of the ranch pack and 3/4 of the taco pack, omitted one can of green chilies, added 2 cans of water and omitted mexican style tomatoes. I added some onion and garlic powder, not salt, to make up for flavor.

This dish was very yummy! My mother made almost this same thing, but she didn't add the chiles because she does't do very hot food. I also made a version of this that is vegeterian for my hubby. He's from India and doesn't eat meat 2 days a week so I had to come up with something. He really likes this because it's spicier than my mom's version and I add more beans instead of the corn since I can't get him to eat it very well!

I love this dish! It is a great go to meal in the middle of winter when you are short on time. I will say it is not something to eat often due to the extremely high sodium content though. I have improvised on a few things to help with that though. I try to use fresh tomatoes that I slightly roast in the oven first. I use all low sodium beans and rinse them well. I also use frozen corn as well. Still just as good, just a little healthier!
