I really enjoyed this soup. I doubled the taco seasoning and ranch and used a whole onion - I felt like it gave it a little more flavor. I also put it over frito chips instead of corn chips and used taco cheese. Very good....

Have made this twice for my family and they LOVED it! I find it tasty too. For toppings we like cheddar/jack cheese and fritos or tostitos. It's easy and quick to make.

It never occurred to me to make this on a Friday nite for the weekend, I normally cook on Sunday afternoons. We are well into football and rugby season...and I think it can be a sanity saving suggestion! Thanks!!!

This was a smashing success at work! I used one can of black beans in place of one of the cans of pinto beans. I also used a can of roasted tomatoes for the diced tomatoes. Just fry up the meat and stick it in the fridge, put everything out on the counter the night before beside your crock pot, and you are ready the throw together a rich, hearty soup that will have your house smelling heavenly when you get home.

I've been making this soup for a couple of years now. I always double the recipe and put it in the slow cooker on low all day so the boys come home to a hot and hearty meal. I either follow the recipe or adjust to our liking. Either way-it's delicious and super easy to do!!

I wasn't sure what all the hype was about this recipe....I guess the five stars set my expectations too high...either that or those reviewing never had chili before. The recipe name is deceiving as this is not soup; it's chili but whatever. I wasn't impressed with the taste after simmering for 3-4 hours so I added a can of green enchilada sauce which made it taste a little more taco like and less like chili. You may need an extra taco seasoning or ranch seasoning to make this what it should be. On a better note, it was definitely better on day 2 with the added sour cream and cheese...enjoy!

I love this soup. Anything that tastes this good coming out of a crock pot is a winner for me!!

Excellent recipe. I used some chicken broth to add just a little more liquid near the end but that was because I drained the beans on accident. This was a huge hit with 4 hungry men. Paul never disappoints! Does anyone know if Paula wants to adopt a 39 year old?

Just love Paula, I get so many ideas from her shows and todays was great. I make my taco soup a lttle different, onlky 1 kind of beans and not as many, on kind of tomatoes and top with Romaine, cheese and Taco Chips. If you would like the recipe contact me at sandiesgalley.com. Keep on a cookin, cant wait to do something different with her "Hogs in a Sleepingbag"
