We enjoy soups and often have one in the refrig for lunches. This has become a staple - especially a great soup for recovery after holiday meals. We use ground turkey instead of ground beef, which lightens the fat calories a bit. Very low in calories anyway, very tasty, and nutritious! Good work Paula. I love Paula's show. Many recipes similar to what my mother and aunts used to make!

It was good, nothing that exciting about it. Maybe add a little cayenne or hot pepper sauce to add a kick!

This soup is great - the seasoning should be adjusted to personal taste - we didn't change a thing. You can do laundry and take care of normal things without having to slave over the stove all night long! I love it!

I mother made this soup for a family gathering and it was a big hit with everyone in our family. I love anything that Paula Dean cooks and besides she is a southern gal just like me.

Excellant! Best soup! Great with chopped onions, and tortilla chips crunched up!

This recipe is VERY GOOD! I have made it a few times for my family and getting ready to buy the ingredients to make it again. This is a very hearty meal that my family loves b/c it reminds them of chili, but with a different taste. I definitely recommend this for a winter meal that will give you a ton of leftover to freeze for future meals.

We have had taco soup before, but Paula's was definitely the best. My husband is Mexican and is a tough critic when it comes to authentic dishes. He enjoyed it! That says a lot!!!

Just made this soup today and it is delicious. Easy too - I can watch football and don't have to be in the kitchen during the games!

    Thanks for the great recipe.
I am a cook and my customers loved this especially served with corn chips and cheese.
