I make this like 3 times a month. I have to say it always turns out perfect and taste amazing. Homemade cooking is my job all around. I hope to be one of the Greats one day with my own restaurant. Thumbs up from the Mock5 house!

This is a really wonderful recipe! I randomly stumbled across this on Google and I've made it several times since. I use ground turkey (and season with oregano and basil or "Italian-style" ground turkey if it's available. I also don't include the green bell pepper as my boyfriend doesn't care for them, but I bet they'd be delicious in this.

Tip: always use fresh onion. I tried to cheat and use the leftovers I had of frozen, chopped onions in the freezer. It definitely didn't taste as good as fresh, so don't try to cut corners like I did.

Should be called Tastes BETTER Than Lasagna Soup! This is awesome, the only thing I did different was use sliced mozzerella on top instead of shredded - really browned it good under the broiler - DELICIOUS!

Delicious!! I didn't have oven proof soup bowls so I did as another reviewer suggested and put the cheese in the bottom of the bowl, ladled the soup on top and it worked perfectly. It tasted so much like lasagna. I have a bunch of servings in the freezer (without the cheese of course and plan on using it for winter lunches. A keeper!

I am not a big lasagna fan and this soup was no exception for me, so that being said don't pay attention to my review based on taste..Everyone liked it..but not loved it. I added 2 links of Italian sausage to the beef. I let it simmer for quite awhile and it reduced a lot but even with that, not sure how you'd get 8-10 servings from it...I'll probably make it again in a year or two but won't go in the recipe file.

Just as I tend to do with recipes that I try for the first time, I followed the recipe closely, except that I added some Cabernet Sauvignon and used Garlic and Herb Italian Loaf instead of the Crostini. This is an extremely tasty recipe, especially on a cold, sleety night (January 12, 2013. We will definitely have this again. Thanks so much. A great way to end the day and snuggle on the couch!

Yummy. This is a new family favorite. I did use ground turkey though.

I really enjoyed it, so did the family. However, there must be some way to cut down on the salt. It was a bit too salty for my taste. The Parmesan cheese must have been too much, or perhaps next time I try the recipe, I will use low sodium chicken broth and omit the salt. After letting it sit overnight (leftovers, the soup thickened up quite a bit. If it sits overnight, I would recommend adding more chicken broth to restore it back to a soup. However, you could reduce the chicken broth by 1/3 cup and then let it sit overnight. Then what you end up having is a really quick and easy lasagna casserole! :

I loved this recipe. I doubled the recipe and used ground turkey and italian sausage instead of the ground chuck. I cut back on the thyme and added basil and oregano. Next time I will add olives and mushrooms. I also didn't have the oven proof bowls so I used foil mini loaf pans that worked out fine. I didn't use the baguettes and opted for broiled french bread with blue cheese butter and put it in the oven as the same as I broiled the cheese on the soup. This is a must have for the winter weather.

Big hit! I used Hot Italian Sausage instead of the ground beef and Campanelle instead of breaking up lasagna noodles. If you like heat add it! This recipe has great tailgate potential. It would be easy enough to just top it individually with mozzarella cheese and garlic croutons pre-game. A definite keeper!
