super sweet, i didn't even make the sauce! i might try halfing the sugar next time and adding some fruit instead.

The first time I made this recipe, I did as is; it turned out way too sweet. I decided to give it another shot using less than half of the required sugar and it turned out excellent. Definitely great potential for a base recipe.

I have made this recipe over and over and over again. My entire family and coworkers love it. It does fall into the sweet category, however I only use Splenda when baking and it does tone down the sweetness. It is delicious with or without the brandy in the sauce. Treat yourself to this delectable dessert!

This recipe is a breeze to make, and the praline(y goodness on top? That's the gravy! I can hardly wait for my next batch to come out of the oven. I substituted scotch for the brandy and it was every bit as good.

I just made this recipe and it was so nasty. With the amount of sugar that was required for the recipe you could probably gain like 5 lbs with one serving!!! There is no need to add so much sugar so ima just stick to my plain bread pudding like before.Old country buffets bread pudding was the best, sorry Paula!!! :

This one was a crowd pleaser! I made the recipe for my great-grandmother's 100th. It was the first dish finished on the table, and its now my grandma's favorite! I read other reviews that thought it could do with a little less sugar but decided to make it as directed (I'm originally from Alabama and we prefer things on the sweeter side. I had no complaints, aside from the fact that I should have made enough for every one. Thanks, Paula!

My family really loves this Bread Pudding. I had to make two batches per week because my family keeps requesting for more and best of all, it was very easy!

I have made this recipe 3 times and have had wonderful results and great reviews! I did make a few adjustments based on the reviewer comments. I substitued 1 cup Splenda for the 2 cups granulated sugar; used 1 cup brown sugar light (Splendaand did not pack the sugar for the 1 cup brown sugar, and I used light butter (less fat. Also I did not measure my cubed bread - just filled up a 9 x 13 pan so am sure I had more than 3 cups. My next try with this will be with a Strawberry Sauce instead of a Carmel Brandy sauce.
