It reminds me of a warm crab dip. The crab is more of a background note to the onions & olives. I may try sour cream instead of mayonnaise next time. Another option that I might try is to add bacon or maybe a dash of hot sauce.

This is more of a crab dip than a casserole. I added less eggs, parmesan cheese, a little colby/jack, paprika and tortilla chips for dipping. You can use tuna instead of crab. Her recipe is a little lacking in flavor but is a decent base for your own concoction.

I used 5 eggs, added some curry powder, fresh salad shrimp and fresh dill. Also used Ritz crackers in the dish and buttered Ritz for the topping. OMG - Delicious! This will definitely be one of my "Go To Recipes". We had a wonderful spinach salad to go along with it. My friends raved over this meal.

This is not one of Paula's best and ususally they're really good. When I made it I added a 4 oz. bag of sald shrimp with the crab and cut the eggs down to 4. I agree the eggs don't go with this dish. So next time I make it I will omit the eggs completely. I also served it cold as an appetizer and spread it on toasted bread rounds.

To those of you who are complaining that this tasted like hard boiled eggs and crab, well what the hell do you expect it to taste like when those are two of the ingredients? This is not some magical recipe thats gunna taste like something that you wouldn't think. It's one of those recipes that tastes just like everything you put in it! If there is something in a recipe you don't like, then omit it!
Go Paula and your old fashioned simple and charming casserole dishes!

Saw Paula prepare this on TV. She suggested trying it with shrimp, so I did. Crab meat was too expensive, shrimp on sale for 2 lbs for $5. You know I had to use shrimp. Other reviews noted too much boiled eggs. Changed to include only 4 eggs and used other 2 for decorations. I made it to be eaten as a dip instead of main dish. It was the "hit" during Thanksgiving.
My family wants to eat this again very soon.
thanks Paula.

Both a co-worker and I tried making this and it was just down right awful. We both threw it away. It tastes like Egg salad with Crab meat in it. I LOVE Paula but would NOT recommend this recipe

This was excellent and easy!!!! I just doubled the crab and use 5 eggs. I didn't bother using the buttered bread crumbs. Can't wait to make it again! My sons loved it and my husband who does not like crab enjoyed it also. The next time I might add to hot sauce to spice it up! :
