This recipe is great! I messed up the first time by not leaving the batter out for a couple of hours, but I got it right the second time. I highly recommend, but don't make the same mistake as me! Remember to prepare the batter hours before.

I have a picky eater in the family, never eats fish or seafood. I asked her to please just take a bite to taste it. Well she asked for another bite and that was it! 6 shrimp later she said she would have the 'beer shrimp' again. I sorta guessed that! Thanks Paula we all love the shrimp.

Thanks Paula! This recipe was exactly what I was looking for! It was sooo simple. It works great with onion rings and chicken which is what I used it for.

Easy and results were outstanding! Served this at a gathering and Adults and kids loved them. I got three big hugs from tykes all under age 8! I think they want me to fix them again next time!

I made this recipe for the 2nd time last night. It was wonderful! The batter was very light and puffed up when it was cooked. I added a little Texas Pete Hot Sauce to the batter and it only improved a perfect recipe. Having a candy/deep fry thermometer helped as I knew I was fying at exactly 350. I'd recommend this to any shrimp lover.

I would never eat battered and fried shrimp before, but I saw Paula Deen on her show when she made this and it looked good. To me, battered shrimp was always too thick and you couldn't get the shrimp taste. My Husband made this for us tonight and I was sold on it from the first bite. It is absolutely delicious. Thanks Paula for this and other recipes that we are going to try. My kind of cookin'.
