I used Fontina Cheese instead just becasue the grocery store was out of the Guyere cheese. Also, Fontina is cheaper - if your on a budget. This was the best tasting lasagna i've ever eaten. No need to try any other recipe. This one is going into my recipe book for sure!

Well, I'm only 16 years old but I love to cook. Paula you are the person who got me to like cooking and thinking about becoming a chef. Of course I made this recipe. I made it because my handicapped sister loves lasagna and when she took her first bite, her eyes lit up and she said Yummmm. it was hilarious. I also made it for the rest of my family and my dad hates lasagna but he said this one was soo good, he had three helpings of it. I did leave out the swiss, but added oregano and rosemary to it and it was amazing!! I'm making it next week again for my grandparents. THANKS SO MUCHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My whole family loved this lasagna! My husband comes from an Italian family and actually said it was even better than his Nona's! My father-in-law said it was the best he ever tasted! Will definitely be made again. I did change and omit a few things. I used Italian sausage along with the ground beef. Half the water. Ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese. I added double Gruyere and left out the Swiss. I also added shaved Parmesan and roman cheese to the mixture. I also added fresh chopped basil. Lastly, I used ready for the oven noodles. I also the seasoning mixture and used salt and pepper to taste. Thanks again Paula!

My husband's favorite food is Lasagna...His nanny growing up always made it for him and since we don't have her recipe I have been trying to find one that could compare. After the first bite he said it was the best Lasagna he had ever had! I have now made it for 3 dinner parties and everyone goes back for seconds! A true hit around our family and friends!

I just made this lasagna and wow...it is really, really good. I decided to omit the gruyere because it is quite expensive. I also omitted the swiss cheese and for all the other cheeses, I used reduced fat (NOT fat free to make it a bit healthier. I also used very lean ground beef and a bit more italian seasoning than the recipe called for. I love how the recipe calls for cottage cheese instead of ricotta. I think this made it turn out creamier. Also, the cream cheese addition really makes the lasagna rich, flavorful, and creamy. This is a seriously delicious lasagna.

We are not big lasagna fans but my family LOVES this. I made it for my family of 5 and my parents and everyone just loves it. I used 1 pound turkey italian sausage rather than all beef but it was AMAZING!!! Thanks Paula you did it again!

This is the best lasagna I have ever eaten! I'm not really a great cook, but I can always cook this and my husband loves it. It's easy and I always make extra and freeze it for later. LOVE IT!!

I make this lasagna every Christmas and on special occasions. I follow the recipe every step of the way and it's amazing. No substitutions. It's a hit with everyone and I'm always asked for the recipe. It's even better with homemade noodles. I will never try another recipe - this is perfection. I serve it with garlic bread made with Paula Deen's roasted garlic butter recipe. Thank you Paula!!
