Too Much salt. Omit the salt from the house seasoning and just add the pepper and garlic powder. A little runny, Omit the water in the sauce or do the cornstarch. Sub basil for the parsley. I used hot and mild Italian sausage for the ground beef. I would make half again the cottage cheese mixture and omit the cream cheese (a pain to 'dot' on the layers. Gruyere and swiss - all gruyere. That's my 2 cents worth of advice. Very good recipe and my only complaints are the saltiness (not horrible and the runiness. The pieces just kind of 'slid' on the plate.

I served this at a college reunion and it was a huge hit...delicious the first day and even more so on the second. I thought that it needed a bit more baking than the recipe calls for, but other than that, I followed the recipe to the letter. Excellent and very well received by my guests. Thanks Paula!

I made this recipe even though I have been known for my own lasagna recipe for years......I happily admit that I got the biggest raves ever with Paula's recipe. So rich, so yummy. I loved reading the other reviews and found it hilarious when the cooks complaining, then admitted how they changed the recipe.....DUH!!!! Thanks for a new family classic Paula!

I made this for a potluck party at work and I could have sworn they were going to elect me King. It is incredibly good and everyone loved it.

This has to be one of the best lasagnas I have ever made/tasted. I love the variation of all the different cheeses in it and I really do think that the cream cheese, gruyere, and cottage cheese mix make this lasagna! My fiance is very picky about his food and he begs for me to make this all the time. Will make again!

My family concurs, I am allowed to make lasagna once again. This is a fabulous recipe, but the outcome at our house was even better. Thanks for a quality recipe.

I watched my cousin make this lasagna from scratch, and just had to have the recipe after eating it! I have made it for several different dinner parties, and each time the guests ask for the recipies! They all say that made from scratch lasagna is too much work, that is, until they tried this recipe!

I add 1 extra can of tomato sauce, as the recipe calls for a thinner sauce than what I care for. I double the recipe and make a pan of lasagna to freeze, so adding 1 can per two pans isn't that much difference.

    Amazing recipe!

I've made this lasagna for probably 2 years now, it's the the best. Also, the marinara sauce is the basis for every marinara I make for spaghetti, manicotti, etc. Can't go wrong here!

I love this recipe. I put a little more fresh herbs and fresh tomatoes. The prep time is a bit off. Also I am here in NYC so this may not apply but at the end of the day it costs me $40

Only 2 of us so I freeze the rest

    Yummy though
