I have never cooked okra before...but will start now. Excellent flavor thru and thru. Thanks for introducing me to a new veggie.

Even people who didn't like Okra love this dish. Maybe it's the cook or the recipe, but this convinced already numerous times.
Thanks a lot - first class.

Very tasty and easy to prepare.I used tomatoes from the garden I had just canned and okra fresh from the garden. But I wont wait once a year when the tomatoes and okra are in season. I will make this recipe often and use my canned tomatoes and buy frozen okra when not in season (which isnt for long.

Okra is a foreign food in these parts!
I finally found some fresh okra, made this dish and WOW. I used "fresh tomato" (about 5 medium , in April that means barely fresh here,(from mexico but this turned out GREAT. Cut the sugar in half, and treat your friends and family to Okra! I'm a relocated southerner so I know what I'm talking about.

I grew up in south Georgia and this recipe tasted exactly like the okra and tomatoes I ate as a kid. This was an easy recipe that was easy to orchestrate even in a small kitchen. We have used this okra and tomatoes recipe many times. It is interesting to serve this to our nothern friends, and so far everyone has loved it.
