Per the reviews(and I always tweek the recipes a little, I reduced the milk to a little over 3/4 cup, and added sugar to the fresh 5 large ripe peaches (about 1/8 cup of brown sugar and flavorings(almond and vanilla in the peaches, vanilla in the crust. I am more of a crust person, but it was too much crust and it was not sweet enough. The peaches had a good flavor, just needed more juice. Instead of 1 cup of water, next time I am going to use 2 to boil the fresh peaches. I am giving this reciepe a low rating because the crust had a good texture between the top of the crust and the peaches, just not sweet enough. Thumbs down!

My cobbler came out horrible. I think 2 cups of milk is way too much and the dough actually was just a milky mess. I followed all directions to a tee. The dough did not rise through the peaches and just sat in the bottom of the pan a gluey mess. Had to throw the whole pan of cobbler out. Very disappointed.

I used canned peaches from my pantry and added a little maple syrup and brown sugar to sweeten as I had previously cut down the sugar when canning. I also made my own self rising flour- the whole dish turned out absoultely amazing. Delish!! Thanks Paula Dean and sons. Now... How can I keep and reheat the leftovers? That is, if there is any :

Delicious even though I didn't use self risin flour. I followed suggestions for making my own, but it still did not puff up the way it should. I used fresh peaches & it was yummy! I wish they would fix the ingredient directions. Listen to the directions in the video and use those measurements.

This was super easy. Great for a church luncheon, etc. I like a bit more breading in my cobbler, so I increased the flour, sugar, and milk to my liking. When it was almost done, I sprinkled raw sugar on top. That made it look even better! My oven took more than 45 min. to bake. It was about 1 hour.

I did not like this recipe whatsoever. Self rising flour is not carried in my grocery store, so I had to use baking powder and salt according to websites telling how to make self rising flour and it still turned out runny and super greasy.

I used 1c of Almond milk instead of regular milk, 1.5tsp of baking powder, since I didn't have self rising flour, and a squirt of honey because I was out of brown sugar. One note, this took way longer than 45 mins, closer to 65 mins, to cook. I'm not sure if it was because of the almond milk, or because I have a gas oven. This turned out great! Sweet and delicious!! I will be making this again! Paula is the best!

This is delicious and easy. I took other's comments on the amount of milk to add to the batter (I used 3/4 cup only and it turned out perfect. I was a bit confused at first about the sugar and water amounts since the 1 cup water/sugar used to prepare the peaches were not included in the overall ingredient list. It should read 1 3/4 Cup Water - divided, etc. Other than that initial confusion, the recipe went very well overall. A big hit!
