This cobbler was extremely easy to make, and very tasty. Great recipe and easy to follow directions. The main key to remember is not to stir anything. I also used 3/4 cups of milk instead of 1 cup. It turned out really good.

This is an easy quick recipe that never fails to please. All of the ingredients are on hand and can be thrown together in an instant.

I thought this recipe sounded super easy and quick to make - not to mention delicious! I love Paula's shows and figured I would make this for dessert last night. I followed the recipe exactly - not stirring anything - and popped it into the oven. After 30 minutes I checked on it and it was still a battery, syrupy mess! I left it in for another 15 minutes, to the maximum cooking time listed, and it still looked the same. I left it in another 10-15 minutes and no change! I tried spooning out some of the bubbling syrup and butter that was the entire top layer, which helped a bit, but the batter never rose, and the entire thing became rubbery and gooey. I re-read the recipe and couldn't see anything I hadn't followed to the 'T'. If anyone figures out how to make this recipe work - please let me know!

If you check the Lady and Sons recipe on other sites you'll find that the measurement for the milk should be 3/4 cup not 1 cup. This may be why your cobbler comes out too runny. I've never had a problem with it being too soupy. Be sure to either use self-rising flour or to use the comparable regular flour with one tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt.

I would give this 10 stars if I could!!! It is the easiest way to make cobbler with the least amount of ingredients. It comes out perfectly with fresh or canned peaches (I have made it both ways! This recipe is so easy, even my non-baking boyfriend could do it! Everyone raved about how wonderful it tasted, there was absolutely none left after the party I served it at! You can also try making it with fresh Blueberries or Cherries using the same method (I have tried both also. Just follow Paula's instructions and "Do Not Stir!!".

I can't wait to try other fruits as well. I agree that it could have been a little thicker, so I may use a full cup of flour and sugar next time.

Took this to a family get-together this weekend and had to send everyone the recipe. Everyone who tried it loved it, and already family is calling to say how EASY it was and that they LOVE it.
