Made this yesterday and it was great. On sunday, we all got peaches from church and I had enough to try this receipe. It was wonderful. You might try making a little more of the cake part. It was sweet and the peaches were fresh and delightful. I rate it Excellent.

I like this recipe because it so simple to make. I tweak it a bit to fit our taste. Truly a Paula recipe with the amount of butter and sugar called for in the recipe. I cut back on both. I always use fresh peaches because canned just don't cut it with me. Do not expect a traditional cobbler because this is a soft cake like cobbler. It comes out perfect every time. A keeper for a fast, simple dessert when needed. Love it Paula !!!!

My family and I really enjoyed this cobbler. Next time I'm going to try it with the fresh peaches as the canned ones tend to be a touch bitter. We all thought it was just a touch too rich from the butter, so next time I'll probably use a half stick instead of the whole one. Delicious other than that!!!!!! Also very easy to make!

This was delicious. I make it every summer. I do think the recipe should be for 3/4 cup of milk instead of 1 cup.

Here is a link to the recipe on the pauladeen website, however it is doubled.... I would post a link but it won't let me!

I always use fresh peaches when I make it, much tastier than canned (and I always feel canned has too much gel and not enough fruit which could be affecting how some of these recipes are turning out and I use regular flour instead of self rising using this conversion:

For each cup of all-purpose flour, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
