should have read the reviews first. i think 1cup of milk is to much anf thats why it came out gummy. i didnt care for it to much but my husband love it. will make it again with less milk. i also added nutmeg and vanilla to the mix.

Simply wonderful. To all and lkluk, QUIK FIX The recipe appears to be incorrect in that it calls for 1 cup of milk. With a quick tour of the internet, the recipe ( on various sites is written so as to use 3/4's cup of milk. Great Cobbler, this after eating half by myself. Would also like to suggest the addition of 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter mix.

I made it twice, thinking I had done something wrong the first time, what a DISAPPOINTMENT. It looked good, but tasted GUMMY.

Wow! Much better than I thought it would be. I tend to like the fruitier cobblers with less crust and thought this would be too "bready" but boy was I wrong! I had a bunch of fresh peaches on hand that were on the verge of being too ripe so I decided to make a cobbler. It WILL look like a bunch of mess when you put it all together and will LOOK like you should mix it but don't! Although the syrup flavors the entire dish, I will probably add more peaches next time just because I love peaches. Can’t wait to make it for thanksgiving. It really is as simple as it looks just don't alter anything!

This is the weirdest peach cobbler I've ever had. The first time I made it it didn't set up, so I tried it again. Still no good. The middle was like a thick gel that never set up. Followed recipe to a tee, used self-rising flour. Could too small of a pan make a difference? I used a 7 x 11 pan.

Don't waste your time on this one. It never set up. I realize it's supposed to be moist, but it was runny. I had it in the oven for an hour. The edges burned and the middle was still liquid. Sorry Paula, but I wish I could rate it a zero.

Paula, Made this recipe using canned peaches & it turned out real good. One exception - Did not use all of the juice, only used about a cup of it. Still had to bake it for 50 min in a 9" by 13" oblong glass dish.

Sorry Paula, this recipe turned out awful! I used jarred peaches, used 1 cup of the syrup that came with it and followed the recipe exactly. I even purchased self-rising flour! I baked it 45 minutes, it smelled wonderful but looked awful. The peaches were swimming in the platter. I will never make this again.
