I just tried this a few days ago and it was pretty good. I didn't have all cheddar cheese in the house so I actually used a mixture of cheddar and jack cheese which gave the dish a nice zip. I think next time I will use less eggs because the dish almost has a souffle tast and I prefer my mac and cheese to be really cheesy and creamy. I think by adjustng that and adding more cheese it will be perfect. Definately worth a try, Paula's dishes are usually so terrific, the whole family loves her. Keep up the good work Paula and congratulations on your recent marriage. All the best to you girl!!

The flavor was great and it was a snap to make, but it could use a lot more cheese.

This dish was very good.I remember having a dish very similar to this when I was younger.(At my friend's grandmother's house. She always cooked from scratch! That recipe had flour in it though.I have tried a few other recipes like this and none of them turned out the way I had remembered it. This was the closest I've had. Although I did add a little more cheese.

Looking over the reviews I thought this would be better. It didn't seem to be very cheesy and I put in more cheese then the recipe asked for.

This recipe was really good. I added more cheese and sour cream, and less egg. But, it came out really good!

I don't know about the folks who rated this one star...perhaps you have too many blue boxes of powder in your pantry, but this is the best I have made, tasted and my guests raved. Kids and all! I am a culinary graduate and this beats the mac and cheese we made at the institute! Way to go Paula! YUM

This is great recipe and very easy to prepare. The only difference between my grandmother's and Paula's recipe is that we always add dry mustard to ours. Sometimes we add some red and green chopped peppers (sometimes with jalepenos just to add some color.
If we had leftover ham we'd add it to the pot with some peas if we had them as well.
Yummy!
