This is great recipe and very easy to prepare. The only difference between my grandmother's and Paula's recipe is that we always add dry mustard to ours. Sometimes we add some red and green chopped peppers (sometimes with jalepenos just to add some color.
If we had leftover ham we'd add it to the pot with some peas if we had them as well.
Yummy!

Pretty good recipe. Quick and easy, but could use a little more cheese to mix in and scatter on top prior to baking. I also added a little salt to my noodles while boiling. Overall it had a good taste.

This is my new "pot luck" dish. I have taken it to dinners, cookouts and to friend's homes. Everyone loves it! Thanks to Paula, my dishes are a hit!

I really like Paula Dean, but this recipe didn't impress me, my husband or my toddlers. My toddlers wouldn't eat it- one spit out almost evey bite I tried to give him. I think my other 2 toddlers didn't like the way it looked/ the texture. I used mild cheddar, so maybe that's the problem. Also I couldn't even taste the cheese or any flavor. I could only taste the butter and egg. I think I'll stick to making it the old fashioned way- first making a roux, adding milk, then cheese , then mixing it into cooking pasta, season to taste. My kids eat this version- I can't make enough.

I've just made this for the 4th time in 6 months and I swear it gets better each time I make it. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great mac-n-cheese recipe!
