I usually do not like the traditional mac and cheese with egg however this recipe changed my mind! I used Paula's chees variation from the video and combined swiss, Cheddar, Gouda, an Meunster cheeses. I used two eggs per batch as I double the recipe. This recipe eceeded expectations. Another great variation I want to try is using velveeta. Kids love it as well! For those who thought it dry, re check your measurements! Delicious!

This mac n cheese is awesome as Paula's food is and we like the eggs in this one to step p the protein which makes a better balance of carbs vs protein.
Voila Paula ! Love it !!

I had been looking for a good mac-n-cheese recipe as my family always had this request, this was a "HIT" with my family.
On Sunday meals my kids will always ask is dad cooking mac-n-cheese.
The only change was I do only 1 egg after reading the reviews.
I have passed this recipe on to several friends and everyone agrees.

Hands down the absolute best macaroni & cheese recipe we have ever had. We now have to bring it to every family holiday or gathering. My husband first made this 2 years ago. I can't tell you how many times we've made it since! My most favorite comfort food.

I love mac and cheese and this recipe tastes pretty good! I've made it a few times and the only things I've really changed is using 1 less egg and a lot more cheese! I thought the recipe as written tasted too eggy and our family loves extra cheese so I just threw in some more.

I haven't made this yet, but think it will be fine. By the way, the eggs must be a "southern" thing, because I'm from Mississippi and my family's recipe always had eggs in it. I probably will add dry mustard, red pepper, a dash of nutmeg, and use panko on the top-also, more cheese if it looks like it's needed. By the way, I read all 109 reviews and with all the picking over the little things, especially the eggs, no one seemed to notice that the recipe calls for 3 eggs, but her video calls for six! Now that would be a good thing to know! Good luck, everyone.

First time I had this was at a baby shower. It was the best, I asked the hostess how she did it and she said Paula Deen with a twist, she added chunks of velveta cheese and used panko bread crumbs with a little butter on top. I tried it and it was fantastic, now everyone is asking me for the recipe. Trick is don't over bake!

This couldn't have been easier to make. My son is such a picky eater and I was afraid he wouldn't eat this but he loved it. I'm making my second batch right now. If you need a basic mac and cheese recipe, this is the one !!
