Made it tonight and it's already my favorite new recipe for Chicken Noodle Soup. The sherry, rosemary, and mushrooms add flavor, and the cream and parmesan add richness.

Always a consistent classic. I've used this recipe for a few years and over that time have been able to tweak it (more egg noddles, veggies, etc. Truly a fantastic recipe and a hit every time!

I am in love with Paula Dean and her recipes but this one was just okay for me. Please don't get me wrong, it is still one of the better chicken noodle soups I have eaten.

I've always had an aversion to chicken noodle soup. Probably because I always ate the stuff out of the can. My husband absolutely adores chicken noodle soup and I've experimented with many different recipes until I made this one. I left out the mushrooms and subbed more chicken broth for the sherry. The second time we made it, I also added a diced jalapeno with a few seeds - it was a great addition of flavor to the already amazing soup :

I really love this recipe. I've been making a ton of soups lately and chicken noodle is one I always want to make again and again. The chicken was very tender and the broth really wasn't hard to prepare. I loved it!

This soup came out extremely well and wasn't even particularly to difficult prepare; although I substituted about two and half pounds of split bone in chicken breast for the whole chicken and kept the rosemary sprigs whole then strained them out before serving. I would also personally strongly recommend adding the cream as I feel it really helps blend the entire thing together, but didn't I miss the cheese.
