Very delicious. I was skeptical of the sherry so we added it to 1/2 the batch and it really did add a great flavor. My husband is not a fan of a "liquor" taste and he even thought the sherry made it extra delicious. YUM!

Best chicken noodle soup ever! I left out the sherry but, did everything else according to recipe. Next time I will probably add a little more water.

This is great! I added an extra quart of water to make more broth because if you leave it sitting for any amount of time the noodles suck up almost all of it. This soup is also very thick so I left out the cream and the extra water made it more of the consistency I prefer. It freezes great and is delicious. Definitly one you should try.

If you do nothing else you have GOT to make this soup it is that incredible. We did not use the cooking sherry and we did use the heavy cream. This was so good it gave us goosebumps! Make it with the herb cornbread and it will out of this world. Hats off to Paula for this receipe. George :-

Even Chicken Little would love this soup! I made this tonight and my kids love it. If my kids like it, it's a winner around here. The two things that I see different in this recipe are the addition of some heavy cream and adding the noodles before you cook them. Not only is it easier to add the noodles out of the bag, it seems to add a little thickness to the soup. And I never would have thought to add cream, but it seems to tie all of the ingredients together nicely. All in all, this soup is a winner at my house!

I saw Paula cook this dish and it really looked good. However, the dish really lacked flavor, I followed the recipe and was disappointed at the outcome. I think it was too bland. I will make this recipe again but I think I will use canned chicken stock instead of water. I used a 4lb chicken, including the giblets, so I should have got a better flavor. I also used 4 Chicken OXO cubes, a Brit thing, which are larger than the chicken stock cubes. I do want to make this recipe work, it has a lot of good food items.

I highly recommend leaving out the sherry, heavy cream, and parmesan...it was just too thick and heavy. I preferred using dry rosemary herbs as opposed to the fresh ones I used the first time and I like it a lot better. Just use half the recommended amt of fresh herbs. It is a really good recipe and you can play around with it a lot to suit your taste buds. My family loved it.
