Amazing! Made the shortcake muffins exactly as in the recipe and they were fantastic! Had to 'Semi Home-Make' the peach topping because they were impossible to find - canned peaches in syrup and added cinnamon - yum! My girlfriends loved them and are still asking for the recipe three weeks later!

I ended up with 15 biscuits and they were double the size in the picture. It wasn't as good as expected. I did a test run on 6 people and overall was an 'ok' nothing special, nothing they'd want to eat again. Bummer because I think Paula is awesome but this recipe was a flop for me.

This is the way I learned to make fruit shortcake, but using a homemade biscuit recipe. Using a biscuit mix is much faster; however, I too find it way too salty for sweet baked goods. Try using Jiffy brand mix. It's sodium content is much lower (check the label and the results are just as good. For anyone who doesn 't like almond extract, try using some fresh citrus zest.

Great! I changed the milk to vanilla rice dreams, added vanilla instead of almond,Trader Joe's bicquit mix instead of Bisquick(for the shortcakeand used strawberry's instead of other fruit. It was beautiful and delicious!!! After all these years I found a good shortcake receipe:

I was pressed for time. So I took the idea and used the flakey style Grand Biscuits and a can of peaches in light syrup. I warmed the peaches and added some cinnamon. I added vanilla ice cream and drizzled the peach cinnamon syrup over the ice cream. Following the recipe may taste better but I thought this way was yummy.

The biscuit is so flavorful it could be eaten on it's own.
I made this with strawberries instead of the peaches. It was a fast and delicious dessert!

It wasn't what I expected. The shortcake came out a bit saltier than I had hoped. Maybe because I left out the almond flavoring?

This is so easy, simple and delish! It is very, very sweet. I would make this again, next time I think I would cut back just a bit on the sugar in the peaches and the whipped cream.
