My boyfriend and I tried this recipe last night and it came out horrible. We love Paula Deen and all, but this recipe did not come out great at all. My boyfriend is a HUGE cooking person and has cooked for many years and we followed the recipe exactly.

Long story short, there was WAY too much egg and barely any cheese. And we even added extra cheese to it in the initial start(since i am a HUGE cheese person.

He wasn't proud of how it cooked, came out, and how it tasted. He was kind of disappointed because usually his meals come out awesome.

As i said, we love Paula and all, but this was not one of Paula's Best recipes.

I liked the blend of cheeses but with the eggs added it wasn't creamy after it was baked. It was more like quiche with macaroni in it. Also, I doubled all the ingredients except the eggs. I really don't know what the eggs are supposed to do for the dish but the next time I try it I'll omit the eggs and make a roux for the milk mixture.

I've never made mac n' cheese before, but I just knew that Paula's would be good. I doubled the recipe and only used 6 eggs, but after I baked it at the recommended time it turned into a pan of "cemented macaroni". The cheese flavor was nearly nonexistent, it wasn't creamy, we wasted most of it; even the dog wouldn't eat it. I'm going to continue my search for the perfect macaroni....

This mac and cheese was amazing! I decided to put 3 eggs instead of 6 but it was fine. : I think of it as more of a breakfast meal but nonetheless it was awesome!!! Thanks Paula!

I am extremely disappointed in this recipe! I love Paula's recipes but this was terrible. I made this for my husband for his birthday as he just loves Mac and Cheese and he wouldn't even eat it. Way too many eggs made it like a quiche! We threw away 3/4 of the dish and wasted all that money on expensive ingredients! I wish I would have read the reviews first.

This is my favorite mac and cheese recipe on Food Network! It reminds me of my Nana's recipe that we used to call "Macaroni and cheese stuck together" as kids! I love the eggs and the texture it lends the dish! I did substitute some of the cheeses for what I had in the fridge and added some red pepper flake. I could eat this for dessert it is SO good!

I love Paula Dean, but what was she thinking! This was the worst recipe I have ever tried for macaroni and cheese. It was more like a quiche than the traditional homemade macaroni and cheese. What a disappointment for the cost of the ingrediants to make it. It was far from being cheesy, it was dry and tasted to much like egg. My family would not even finish what was put on their plates and the remainder of the dish was thrown away. To say the least this was terrible, but I still love Paula, I just will not ever use this recipe again.
