My son and made it for are family and had fun doing it. We liked it so much that we are planning on doing it again real soon. I love recipes that you can do with your family.

The flavor was good, but way to eggy. I thought it was more of a quiche than mac and cheese. Next time I will read the reviews before I make it.

After reading the other reviews and having made other versions of mac and cheese in the past, I made Paula's version with some changes. I only used four kinds of cheese (shredding is so annoying and I substituted lowfat plain yogurt for the sour cream. I doubled the recipe for a party, but I only used 3 eggs, so I would say that for the recipe as is, I would only use one egg. Definitely mix the eggs with the other ingredients separately from the hot macaroni and cheese mixture first. At the end, I crushed about 30 ritz and mixed them with melted butter, and poured it on top before baking. Everyone was asking for the recipe, and was loving how rich and creamy it tasted. It was so delicious. Not eggy at all.

This recipe should be called mac and cheese quiche! There must be a problem with the recipe calling for 6 eggs. My family was in the mood for great mac and cheese for dinner and were left disappointed! I have made so many of Paula's recipes that were fantastic! Paula, please review and adjust!
    Thanks!

As with several other readers, I made it exactly according to instructions--here's a lesson, read the reviews first next time. I used all six eggs, and it looked and tasted like I had scrambled eggs in my mac 'n cheese. Next time, I'm going to use one or two eggs, a bit less milk, and go from there. The taste was good, but probably would have been better without all the eggs.

Just say no to eggs in mac and cheese. It's just wrong. You don't need them, they boost the calories and cholesterol, and they ruin the consistency.

This was a good "in a pinch" mac n cheese. I cut the eggs down to 3, taking the advice of other raters, which ended up being a good idea!
