I made this recipe two years ago for thanksgiving and It's now a family tradition. My husband sometimes asks for me to make it in the middle of the year. We all love it.

When we used this in 2008, it had 6 eggs in it. I thought it was a lot but we did it anyway. Our party guests called it a "cheesy quiche." I noticed they cut it down to three eggs and we might try it again, just not on guests this time but for ourselves (at least.

This was sooo tasty! I made this mac and cheese for me and my fiance the other night and we both were surprised by how great this turned out! Sometimes, these online recipes can be a hit or miss, but this one was definitely a hit! This is definitely going to be my go to mac and cheese recipe from now on. For those whose dish turned to scramble eggs, try tempuring the egg mixture by adding some of the warm noodles to it while whisking. This should help the egg mixture slowly become acclimated to the warmness of the noodle/cheese mixture so that it won't scramble. Also, I didn't add all of the cheese from the recipe. I used only mild and sharp cheddar cheese and it still turned out great!

I made this recipe one week ago and my family loved it!!!!!! It was such a hit that my husband asked fo me to make it again. I made it exactly as the recipe stated except for the mik....I substituted the milk with carnation milk. So, today I made it again but since I didn't have carnation milk I used 2% milk. And it came out just as good as the first one that I made. It didn't come out like scrambled eggs as others have written instead it came out looking just like the photo. The only thing that I suggest is to bake it longer than 35 minutes. I bake mine for about an hour. I am guessing that is the reason that many peoples are coming out looking like quiche.

I wish I had read the reviews before I made this for dinner tonight. I read the reviews AFTER it was in the oven. I doubled the recipe and of course doubled the eggs so I crossed my fingers that it would change it some how. Nope, as my husband said "these are the best cheesy scrambled eggs". The flavor was there, just not the texture. Bummer! I know better for next time.

I also used what ever cheese I had havarti, cheddar, and a little American for smoothness. Like I said the flavor was there, just not the texture.

I have never heard of eggs in mac and cheese before. Neither has anyone in my family. I guess it is a regional thing.

Simple way to enjoy Mac and cheese your way. Don't be afraid to experiment with amounts of cheese and different cheeses...in other words...you can't screw this up! One thing I do suggest...DO NOT USE ALL THOSE EGGS! I used one egg and it turned out great...although I doubt you need any at all. Also...I am reading reviews of people who did use all the eggs and spent a lot on all the cheese. You do not have to spend 40 dollars on this dish. Buy 2 bags shredded cheese...any kind...and youre all set. I actually found this to be an incredibly inexpensive way to enjoy tasty homemade mac and cheese. I do not cook often and found this to be very simple...anyone can make this and have it be a crowd pleaser.
