I have always prided myself on my baking but as I like to say the chocolate chip cookie has always eluded me; they burn, too runny, the list goes on and on. Then I tried THIS recipe and they are the only ones I can make and they turn out! I use walnuts instead of almond brickle merely because the rest of my family's not keen on it (though my mom and I love it!. You will not regret trying it and as much as you'd think they would be - they're not overwhelmingly chocolatey.

These are phenomenal! I have made them to send to school for birthdays, holidays, play rehearsals, etc... and the kids (and teachers are always asking for more!!! There is soooo much chocolate in them (you will laugh as you are trying to stir it into the batter, yet somehow, you are not overwhelmed by it when you eat them. Love them!!!!!

These deserve the five star rating. I had to change the recipe because of what was missing from my pantry. I used brown sugar 2 1/4 c no white, one bag of Hershey semi sweet chips and one bag of ghiradelli 70% cacao chips. Also, added walnuts. Outstanding according o consumers!

When I'm in the mood for some gooey chewy chocolate chip cookies this IS the go to recipe. The last ingredient (almond brickle chips is not something I have laying around so I've always omitted that part of it. I can only imagine what the true form is supposed to be....
These are divine!

Made these for the first time yesterday. They were delicious! I ended up using my large cookie scoop instead of using 1/4 cup dough for each cookie and cooking 10 minutes per tray. They were delicious!! The almond brickle was hard to find, I finally found Heath bits of toffee and they worked perfectly.

I have been looking for this recipe all my life. This cookie dough is versatile and can be anything you need it to be. I made at least 4 dz and 3 days later they are all gone. I have my family begging me for more. My husband, which is always my biggest critic can't get enough of them. They can be really crisp or they can be chewy. Wonderful, wonderful, and AWESOME!!!! Thanks!! This will be my go to recipe for ALL my cookie needs. Thank you Paula!!

This is my all time favorite recipe! The only thing I do is mix up the chocolate and almond brittle. I use whatever I have in the house, sometimes its just crushed candy bars. This is a best basic cookie dough receipe out there. I do use my cookie scoop to portion out, so I get about 96 cookies per batch. Great for the bake sales!!!

Finally I've found a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe! The only thing I changed was I put less chocolate in it then Paula does, but that's just because my husband and I just prefer chocolate chip cookies that arent loaded with chocolate. Just glad I don't have to search for a CC cookie recipe that I actually like anymore!
