This is quick and easy. I did change it up a little. I used shells instead of angel hair; I eliminated the meat and the sour cream . I sauteed onions, garlic, carrots and spinach. I retained some of the pasta water in the pasta; added the cottage cheese after mixing the pasta with the veggies. I also eliminated the chesse on top. I stuck the whole thing in a casserole dish and put it in the refrigerator and heated it up the next day......tasty and easy.

I tried this recipe with the sour cream and even added garlic, cayanne pepper, black pepper and italian seasoning. It was still bland. There is nothing that can help this recipe. I will not be making this again.

I agree with the other reviewers that the dish is very bland. I sauted the onions and pureed them with the cottage cheese. I have one child who will not eat cottage cheese and hates the texture of onions so I have developed ways to hide them. I don't know if my changes plus no sour cream caused it to be too dry. I must say I was disappointed in the outcome

Just watched the show again and found that when they posted this recipe they screwed up and left out the sour cream. I made this before I found out they messed up and it was not that great. Will have to try again this time with all ingredients.

I'm watching the show right now and they do add 1/2 C. sour cream and 2/3 of a large cottage cheese container.

I did this as a two meat pasta, as I don't think the ham cubes add much to the flavor. Chicken and sausage were great together. In watching Paula, Dustin and Bobby make this recipe, I thought they had put in sour cream. It does not have sour cream in the on-line recipe and it did not get bubbly and gooey in the baking. I think it does need more time than 30-35 minutes. It would have been very bland but I used a nice spicy Italian sausage. I totally agree with Peggy and the need to use your largest mixing bowl. It was messy mixing the ingredients. I am getting some sour cream to add this evening as there were plenty of left-overs.

The cottage container was a 24 ounce so Bobby reminded Dustin to use 2/3 of the container. The sour cream was 1/2 cup.

I made this for dinner tonight and followed the recipe as written except for the addition of 1/2 cup sour cream as Paula had done on her show. I used a large bowl to mix ingredients, but extra-large would have been better - it was a bit messy to mix up. It cooked for closer to 45 minutes to get the center good and hot. In the end, it was a very filling meal, but somewhat bland. I think I'll add some garlic, dry mustard, and pepper if I make it again.

I thought I remembered him only using 2/3 of the 16 oz. cottage cheese and adding sour cream, too.

I'm wanting to make this for dinner tonight...caught a bit of the show yesterday but missed most of the portion of them putting this dish together....I guess I'll add the sour cream....I was going to just follow the recipe...glad I saw your posts.
