made this for the first time this weekend for office holiday party. It was completely gone in 10 minutes! big hit. I only wish it had been a little bit creamier...but the flavor was great!

My family loves mac 'n cheese, so we've tried a lot of recipes, but this is the one we keep coming back to. A few tips: wet ingredients are measured by weight, but dry ingredients are measured by volume. One cup of DRY macaroni is about 4 oz., so the "2 cups" called for in the recipe would be 8 oz. (or a half pound box. That's why folks who are throwing in a whole pound (16 oz. box might be getting a dry casserole. Blanching tomatoes enhances flavor. You can skip this step, and it still turns out fine, but it definitely improves the recipe if you blanch the tomatoes.

I love this macaroni and cheese recipe. I've tried many recipes, and this by far is the easiest and the most tasty! This is now my households go-to recipe for macaroni and cheese and we love it. The tomato is an extra added bonus under the melted cheese layer! The only thing I change is add a whole onion small diced, just because we love onion in my house! I reccomend this dish to anyone who loves macaroni and cheese and wants to try something new.

I make my mac & cheese with American Cheese, no onion, dry mustard or tomatoes. I make the sauce like Paula does and use egg noodles instead of elbows. Top with crushed corn flakes and dot with butter. My family is crazy about it-it's truly comforting. Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes.
Coffee Punch
Just saw a re-run of the episode and the recipe is as follows:
3 C. brewed coffee
1/2 C. chocolate syrup
4 C. milk
Pour above over vanilla ice cream in soda glass or glass mug.

If you can't find the show recipes here, they are usually on Paula's site: www.pauladeen.com. The Icy Coffee Punch is on there. Hope this helps. I haven't tried the mac and cheese yet, because I just got the recipe, but I'm sure it will be delicious.

Lifeless. White wine in the bechamel? Celery? A mixture of cheeses other than just cheddar? Something!!! Also, a full cup of cheese is a bit heavy over the top of the tomatoes at the end

I'm not sure if I have this right, it's all by memory. But I think it was 3 cups of coffee and 1/2 cup of chocolate syrup, mix up together, then pour over 3 scoops of ice cream. I hope this helps, and I hope it's right.
As for the mac n cheese, delicious!! Definitely a hit at my house with 3 small bays.

Why is it that every so often there is something made on the show and the recipe does not show up on the internet? I would love to have the recipe for the ice coffee drink that Jamie made on the "All in the family show" I noticed that there were other people that also could not find the recipe!
