This recipe is really good if you like the taste of fresh tomatoes with cheese which I did love it but it does seem alittle watery even though I have tried the directions for the recipe and also I have tried alittle flour on the tomatoes, but I have to tell you the best tomatoes I have tried with the recipe is Roma tomatoes.

Loved this recipe! You can certainly vary the herbs and cheeses to your taste. Remember to drain tomato and then salt them liberally.

Soooo good, simple to make. Easy to slip in different ingredients or substitute whatever you have on hand as far as with cheeses and herbs.

This is a super simple recipe and I make it often. I try to make this recipe whenever I am having company. After serving this dish to someone new, I end up having to write down (or print from the website this recipe.

Great recipe, Paula! I didn't have a deep dish crust on hand, so I used fewer tomatoes, but this still turned out very tasty and satisfying. I am not a huge mayo fan, so I also reduced that. Next time, I think I'll try seeding the tomatoes.

I made this recipe for my Sister's brunch, 2/4 loved it. I thought it was great. The only problem I had was it not being firm enough when cutting. I did let the tomatoes drain for about 15 mins with the salt. I used vine ripe tomatos. Do anyone have any suggestion as to what kind of tomatos to use for a firmer pie?

I have made this several times now and it has been a hit with everyone. Be ready to start handing out the recipe. I added a light sprinkling of garlic powder. Makes a great side dish or a brunch dish. I even tried it with Miracle Whip and it was still good. Fresh basil and home grown tomatoes seem to be the key. Thanks Paula!
