For everyone who complained about the time, did you put it in the oven or a roaster? Isn't cooking time different in a roaster? Doesn't it say approximately on the 3 hour time. It does mention at the top 5 hours. I think its wise to make a test run first. My Mom always taught me not to cook something new for company without testing it first. I haven't made this yet but I may just try it out.

If you don't try this recipe it's because you can't cook , if so get someone in the kitchen with you and learn , you'll be so pleased !

Although I had a hard time tying all three birds together, perhaps the turkey wasn't big enough but most of the dressing came out, but the taste was wonderful, nice and tender, not too pretty, but a grat tasting one. Any suggestion on threading a bird.

We opted to debone breastplate from Turkey for easier carving and skipped the dressing. Next time will skin the duck (little too greasy, but all together very yummy. Best bird ever and family very impressed!

The recipe was not difficult and the flavor of the turducken was wonderful. However, the cooking time and cooking temp. were not correct. The meat was raw after 4 hrs. at 225. I increased the temp. to 350 and cooked until the internal temp was 155 which was an additional 3 hrs.

I trimmed off ALL The fat from the chicken and duck which turned out to be a very wise move. The turducken took me about 5 hours to roast and it was wonderful. My family is making me make a turducken for ALL of our holiday dinners from now on!
