I made this for Thanksgiving for my family last year and am considering doing it again but in a smaller amount, reason being that it is incredibly rich we barely ate a third of it with my whole family.

I saw the show, went to website to get receipe. Receipe gave ingrd. but failed to show someone who had never made a triffle how to assemble. In the show they broke the brownies into big bite side pieces and then assembled brownies, then poured "some of the carmel onto brownies, then a layer of whipped cream and layered again until layers complete with whipped cream on top, add a drizzle of carmel to top and a few choc. chips to look pretty. Hope this helps those of you who did not view the show.

This looks fabulous! Saw the comment on assembly, but still confused as to when all 5 cups of pecans are used. Can someone explain this to me please????

i have made this recipe four or five times for work events or parties. There is never enough in the bowl. First got it from Paula's Holiday issue last year. Do not change a thing. Biggest hit I've ever had.

The receipe for the Turtle Truffle was great, however, the show showed Paula and her guest biting off a mouthful of the brownie and then breaking it up for the truffle. I found this disgusting!!!!!

Assembly, starting from the bottom, up. Process is repeated twice, so use half of the ingredients for each step. 1. Brownies, in chunks; 2. Sugar/butter sauce; 3. Caramel syrup (just drizzled -- not half the jar! 4. Whipped cream. REPEAT. Top with additional morsels, pecans, mint sprig, if desired. Hope this helps!
