This recipe is an oldie from Rhodes Bread. Butterscotch Bubble Loaf. Turns out great! You can find the original at rhodesbread.com

This is an excellent and yummy recipe. I have been making it for at least 20 years! I am sure Paula is glad she found it too. I highly recommand it. But watch out - it can burn in the oven b/c it is so sugary. I make it when we have over night guests and for EVERY Christmas morning! I also use a decorative bunt pan.

These are incredible. First time I made them I put in the oven overnight with the light on thinking it would need the warmth as our kitchen gets very cold at night. Big mistake -- the heat from the light "killed" the yeast and they were half-baked by morning.

This time I just put the pan in the oven over night to keep it out of any drafts. 10 hours later they filled about 1/3 of the pan and were nice and soft. Cooked them and they completely filled the pan and were wonderful. Nobody suspects that one of the ingrediants is butterscotch pudding. The best think is that the prep time the night before is about 5 minutes. I know some people said they did not rise -- I suspect they did not use the frozen self-rising rolls - they can't be the already cooked rolls that are just frozen.

I'm no cook so when I saw the recipe and the video I thought I would give it a shot. Not only was it unbelievably easy, it came out looking exactly like the cake in the picture! It tasted so good everyone was asking me for the recipe. I was almost embarrassed to tell them how easy it was because everyone was so impressed! I will definitely make this again and again!!!!

I didn't read the recipe properly and used instant pudding. It didn't make a liquidy sauce, but a dryer more cinnamon roll like substance. I used more rolls because my bunt pan was more of an angel cake pan. My rolls were very small, which let the filling be more dispersed. I also added cinnamon and extra butter. I can't wait to make this again. It is much better than any cinnamon roll i've had. I'll try it with the regular pudding, but I might make it just like this again and ice it with cinnamon roll icing.
