This cake is delicious. I made it yesterday and it is almost gone. It is moist, has a nice blend of spices but not overwhelming. I left the glaze on the side in a small bowl so people could decide amounts for themselves. A keeper.

This cake was wonderfully delicious! I love to bake and this recipe sounded perfect to make yesterday. I did make some changes though that everyone loved. I used 3 apples instead of 2, added nutmeg, and a pinch more vanilla and cinnamon. For the glaze - I added an extra tbsp of honey and squeezed some fresh lemon into it, too. The aroma was perfect and the cake was moist with a hard exterior. As I said, everyone loved it and will be making it again. However, I found it a bit sweet and might cut down on the sugar a little bit next time. Great recipe!!!!

Best apple cake ever! Easy to make. Just made my third in 6 days. I followed recipe exactly. Made it in my pampered chef stoneware bundt pan. Thanks Uncle Bob!!!

This cake was soooo amazing. I added extra apple like others said and used only half of the icing because my family was skeptical about the honey component. But in the end they all loved it. I also emitted the walnuts due to my allergy to them and the cake was still the best I have ever had.

This recipe rocks! My husband walked in to the kitchen while I was "baking"- YES! I can finally call myself a baker!- and the first thing out of his mouth was "are you following the recipe?!". Okay, so after 10 plus years he's more than a little clued in to my "baking technique"- or lack there of. HOWEVER, I am happy to report that I was actually able to bake something to be proud of! It was moist, tasty and absolutely fabulous! I used two 8" pans and cooked it for 65 minutes, which was plenty, and I left out the nuts. I challenge any non-bakers out there to give it a go!

I LOVED THIS. My family and I live on a ranch and we have about maybe 12-13 apples trees, well they were starting to fall off so I looked on FoodNetwork.com to see what i could make, and ANYTHING by Paula Deen is worth making in my kitchen. so i made it, I used Baking Powder by accident but it was still really really good! and i plan to make it on Christmas and whenever else i can. it's really really good.

This was soooo good! My husband said it tasted just like a bear claw (which, to be honest, is the best danish there is! = Couple changes; used 9x13 pan instead of bundt, baked for a little over an hour and it was a tad overdone, poked lots of holes in the cake with toothpick and poured glaze over while still warm! It's really fantastic!!! Would be perfect for brunch!!
