    Thanks for the heads up. I will play with the filling before having to add more cream cheese and sugar. I did see that Giada De Laurentiis has a pumpkin cupcake with chocolate frosting.

    I had the same issue with the filling being to runny. I added the other four ounces of cream cheese and another cup of confectioner's sugar. That made it a little thicker and more manageable.

    I saw the show just today and couldn't wait to make the cupcakes... chocolate with pumpkin creamcheese filling YUM :
    Unfortunately, the filling was totally runny. It looked like pumpkin pie filling before you bake the pie. I added more powdered sugar but it didn't help. I was so disappointed.

    Paula Paula Paula....I have had success with everyone of your recipies - until this one! It looked great on your "Hallo-Deen" episode, which was hilarious! However, the pumpkin filling was a runny mess! I kept adding more powdered sugar, hoping it would become frosting-like. Not so. Sorry on this one!
